YOUNG TODDLERS & TODDLERS
(15 months to age 3)

Our Toddler program is an exciting place to be!

Our staff plans the program for our youngest children by using the latest 0-3 brain research. We use THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM and follow the developmentally appropriate practices as set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. With 4 children in our young toddler room and 9 in our older toddler room, we maintain a high teacher/child ratio.

Your child's day will be filled with activities that are designed with learning and fun in mind We use lots of sensory materials. We like to SEE, FEEL, SMELL, and TASTE! The toddler playground is set aside from that of the pre-school and was developed specifically for this age group.

A loving and patient staff spends time playing with, feeding and diapering your child while encouraging language development and self-help skills throughout the day. These routines become part of our curriculum as every moment is a "teachable one".

PRESCHOOL
(3 & 4 Year Olds)

Our full day program is based on the Massachusetts Standards for Preschool Learning and the National Association for Young Children's Developmentally Appropriate Practice.

These 3 and 4 year-olds are "all energy", "all curious", and ready to learn in a variety of ways. Like the toddlers, they have a language-rich environment but the emphasis is also on literature, art, music, math and science. They continue with their self-help skills. They want to do most things "all by myself". There is plenty of time to explore the learning materials and enjoy creative play while socializing (and sharing) with friends.

Outside learning takes place on our playground with both free-play and organized activities.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN
(4 & 5 Year Olds)

This group consists of our "big kids". They are comfortable with themselves and with school. They still enjoy much of the play of the preschool and they still need it. But, they are also pre-readers and pre-writers. Again, learning takes place in a variety of ways. They enjoy language, math, science, art, and music. At this age, they can learn more about our world, culture, and geography.

These children do meet many of their own needs and the teachers are always there to lend a hand. At this age they initiate many of their own games and learning activities. They also learn to work through their disagreements with others. Less teacher intervention is needed.

Again, this curriculum is developed from the Massachusetts Standards for Pre-School Learning and the National Association for the Education of Young Children's Developmentally Appropriate Practice.
