These teachers work with our youngest students form 15 months to 3 years old. There is a multitude of hands-on learning happening daily.
Miss B
Miss B lives in Yarmouth. She grew up on Cape Cod and is a D-Y high school graduate. Her father was in the service so she also has lived in Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Germany. She has taken college classes at CCCC and Bridgewater, as well as many professional development trainings. She has three adult sons. She enjoys knitting and reading. She has too many favorite books and authors to pick just one. She enjoys working with children…they make her smile.
Miss Christine
Miss Christine joined West Parish Family School in 1991 when her daughter attended. Christine was our Toddler Lead Teacher for many years. She has taken college courses at both Fisher College and Cape Cod Community College while raising her own children, running a home daycare and choosing to work with young children. She has two grown children; one son and one daughter. This year she decided to work part-time so she can enjoy more time with her two granddaughters that now live nearby. She lives with her husband and two cats. She loves everything outdoors- summer or winter and everything in between. Her favorite children’s book is The Three Little Kittens.
Miss Gina
Miss Gina was born and raised on Cape Cod. This past summer her boyfriend joyfully proposed to her, and she said YES! She has a kitty-Brody and dog-Sam. She has been teaching at West Parish Family School since 2014. As a child she enjoyed the Junie B Jones book series.
Miss Lynne
Miss Lynne has been a substitute teacher for many years in the toddler program. She has been a part-time teacher for the past two years. She has an Associate Degree and has lived on Cape Cod for twenty- seven years. She is the mother to three daughters ages 22, 24 & 26. She lives with her husband, Jamie and daughter Lydia in Barnstable. Her children all attended West Parish Family School when they were young because she knew it was a quality, educational, safe setting. Her youngest daughter has special needs which has given her the patience and knowledge of working with young children of all abilities. She loves to make Nantucket baskets, sailor valentines, cross-stitch, gardening and traveling.
Miss Sherri
Miss Sherri is our Toddler Lead Teacher. She has been working at West Parish Family School since 2008. She’s been teaching early childhood education for eighteen years and is completing courses toward her Bachelor’s Degree. She has spent her life on Cape Cod where she lives with her daughter, Kileigh and her mother and a small dog in Yarmouth. She enjoys traveling up north as much as possible. Her favorite children’s book is The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear by Don & Audrey Wood.
Miss Sara
Miss Sara is from Forestdale where she lives with her husband and three children, along with their dog, guinea pig and parakeet. She recently owned a pet sitting business for five years and loves adventure courses and all animals. She chose to join us when she realized how much she enjoys working with young children and her own are all growing up so fast. Sara has a Bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College, with her major in Psychology and Minor in Education.
